Weider have been around the block for a while, its founder Joe Weider is a very known muscle head enthusiastic,
founder of several bodybuilding magazines such as Muscle & Fitness, Men’s Fitness and Flex and also founder of
Mr. Olympia. You probably already sought pictures of him besides the likes of Arnold Schwarzenegger; he has a funny
pointy mustache.
I heard some negativity about the Weider brand of home gyms, but having experienced several of their products and
given that the prices are very affordable, I find their products to be very accessible and of good quality.
Weider home gym
Weider home gyms are very popular among people who are just starting out and are looking not to break the bank when
trying to put a home gym together. Although most seasoned athletes and bodybuilders would qualify weider home
systems of “weak”, weider is very popular among people who want to get in shape and want to save some money too.
You will find weider home gyms pretty much in every big box stores such as sears, target and dicks. They sell a
variety of products that will please pretty much every budget. Although I am a big fan of purchasing online, when
you decide to buy your home gym exercise equipment, make sure to test it out first. See how well it adjusts to your
type of body, what kind of exercises you are able to do in the system and if you are really going to use it. The
best thing to do is to go to a local store and test out different home gyms exercise equipments and then try to go
online and find a better deal.
Here are some of the more popular home gyms manufactured by weider. Keep in mind that some of these equipments are
no longer being manufactured and you might not find replacement parts for them.
Weider Club Bench
The Weider club bench is a V shaped corner design home gym. Is exclusively sold online. The home gym
Has seven workout stations station, which includes military press (folds), chest fly, high pulley and lat bar.

• Adjustable Seats

Bottom line: I am not a big fan of the Weider club bench. I find it bulky, and the same exercises that you are able
to do here, you can do it on the Weider crossbow. Also the price is not that great; expect to pay around $550 to
750.
Weider Max Home Gym
You could get a Weider max weight home system anywhere from $450 to $700. Is very affordable compared to its
rivals and will give you a seriously good workout. This system is definitely more beneficial for someone who is
starting to workout, and for someone more advanced perhaps this home gym system will not be ideal. Most clients who
purchased the Weider Max home gym liked the Quick-Change Resistance™ feature because of its convenience. Reviewers
of the system remarked the ease changing cables for different exercises.

Weider Pro 4250
The Pro 4250 is another weider home gym system that is no longer manufactured. I have to say that when I hear
the word no longer manufactured it sounds to me that the system was not that good in the first place, but the jury
still out on the one. There are plenty of systems that are no longer manufactured but still darn good
equipments.
The Weider Pro 4250 is composed of two workout stations, and 55 different exercises. It packs 250 lbs of
resistance. Here are some of the features:
Up to 250 lbs. of resistance
Abs station with strap
High Pulley with 15 exercises and low pulley with 40+ exercises.
Bench Press
Padded chest fly arms
Leg Press and Lat Bar
Ankle strap with handle
106 lb. DuraStack Weights
59" (H) x 81" (W) x 77" (L); 316 lbs. (Assembled set)
The price range is $179 to $500.
Bottom Line: this is a good home gym; if you shop around for it you will save yourself a lot of money.
Weider pro 4900
The Weider pro 4900 home gym is also no longer being manufactured. It is one of my least favorite home gym
equipments manufactured by Weider. Is just too big and you really have to have additional extra space to fit this
baby. Also there are far better equipments out there that will occupy a third of the space and although it might be
a little more expensive, you will save in the long run. Again, since this Weider pro home gym equipment is no
longer being manufactured, you will have no problem in finding good deals on this one. Price range $199 to
$450.
System specifics:
82” (Height) x 105” (width) x 94” (length)
Military Press, Butterfly, Chest Press, Leg Press and Lat Bar.
Bottom Line: Not one of my favorites, but if the price is right and you have room to accommodate this home gym
equipment, go for it.
Weider Crossbow
I have to say that the Weider Crossbow is one of my favorites equipments manufacture by Weider. I like the
exercises that you are able to perform on it and also the resistance, it pretty much targets all the parts of your
body, and it feels right. Also reviews by independent users were very encouraging and a lot of people who purchased
this home gym by Weider had nice things to say about it. You will find that like many other products by Weider,
affordability is one of the things that keeps this item popular. You will find the Weider crossbow in many big box
stores such as sears and sports authority, and again if you purchase it online you will get a better price. Price
Range: $150 to $350.
System specifics:
The compound resistance system of the crossbar uses a series of pulleys, swivels and cables and combined it
provides a induced maximum resistance of 440 lbs. Even if you are a professional body builder or serious about your
workout, this machine will give it to you. Some of the exercises that are possible on the Weider Cross bow are
Chest Press, chest fly, incline fly, straight arm pullover, lat pull down, bent over row, hip extension, abs
crunch, squat, calf raises, leg press, shoulder press, hammer curl and triceps kickback.
Bottom Line: I really dig this equipment by Weider. I will go in a limb here and say that this equipment for the
price beats the market leader bowflex. For extra savings get it on EBay or even Craigslist.
Weider 8530 Home Gym
Although no longer being manufactured by Weider, the Weider 8530 home gym comes with a variety of workout
stations that will work every major muscle group of your body. It does a great job toning your muscles and is good
for any cardiovascular exercise. It possesses 8 different integrated workout stations, including:
Low Pulley, High Pulley, Squat Station, Bench Press, Leg Developer, Military Press, Butterfly and VKR. Some of the
biggest criticism about Weider home gyms is in regards to its quality, durability, somewhat low level material and
the ever changing model numbers. For instance the weider 8530 home gym is no longer manufactured by Weider.
